St. Xavier’s High School celebrated the feast of its patron saint, St. Francis Xavier, with devotion, enthusiasm, and active student participation. The programme was thoughtfully designed to help students imbibe the values of faith, service, and compassion exemplified by St. Francis Xavier.
The celebration commenced with a morning intercom assembly for the boys, during which students watched inspiring videos depicting the life, mission, and selfless service of St. Francis Xavier. These videos helped students reflect on the saint’s dedication to God and humanity.
Following the assembly, class-wise competitions were conducted to encourage creativity and value-based learning among students:
Std V & VI: Bookmark Making Competition
Theme: “Values We Learn from St. Francis Xavier”
Students expressed values such as kindness, faith, service, and humility through colourful and creative bookmarks.
Std VII & VIII: Collage Making Competition
Theme: “A Life Dedicated to God and People”
Students beautifully portrayed the life, mission, and sacrifices of St. Francis Xavier through meaningful collages.
Std VIII & IX: Quiz Competition
The quiz tested students’ knowledge about the life, work, and teachings of St. Francis Xavier, promoting learning in an engaging and competitive manner.
At 10:30 a.m., a Holy Mass was solemnly celebrated for the staff, offering a time of prayer, thanksgiving, and spiritual reflection. The Mass reinforced the core message of dedication and service.
The celebration concluded with a joyful entertainment programme, adding vibrancy and togetherness to the occasion. The day’s events successfully combined spirituality, creativity, learning, and celebration, making the feast of St. Francis Xavier truly meaningful for the entire school community.
